NSW HEN RESCUE | SMM
I’m currently a Director and Virtual Asst/Designer for NSW Hen Rescue, a vegan animal rescue organisation built on the principles of Liberation, Education and Inspiration to create a better world for hens and other factory farmed animals. My role combines hands‑on rescue and investigative work with creating eye‑catching visuals, educational resources and campaign content for social media to raise awareness and share the individual stories of animals deserving of our kindness and compassion.
Rationale
The intention with the visual narrative provided here is to reflect the dual nature of rescue and advocacy. There is the raw, immediate reality of rescue coupled with strategic polish to drive systemic change. The mix of authentic, off the cuff footage with refined socials and campaign content allows for a well-rounded viewing experience that honours the truth of animals’ stories whilst maximising the impact of sharing these stories. They provide a balance between the urgency of our work whilst remaining accessible and compelling enough to reach a broader audience that may be seeing these issues for the first time.
Every piece of content created, from a spontaneous video update to a comprehensive event branding package, is a direct extension of NSW Hen Rescue's core mission of Liberation, Education, and Inspiration. The materials provided are not merely design projects; they are educational tools crafted to dismantle industry myths and foster deep empathy. This approach ensures that the visual output is always rooted in purpose, speaking directly to our audience that values transparency and compassion whilst building trust through authenticity.
